It seems that day three, lovingly known as Championship Sunday, will not feature any of the several VGC legends expected to make it this far.
Wolfe Glick, Riley Factura, Jeudy Azzarelli, Sejun Park, Aaron “Cybertron” Zheng, and many other favorites did not make it to the top 16. Wolfe, the fan favorite to win this year’s worlds, came into day two undefeated and extended his streak well into the next day, until he met his first loss against Marco Hemantha Kaludura Silva in round 10. He fell to Kylan Van Severen for his third loss and his elimination from the top 16.
Here at Devon Corp Press, we congratulate those who’ve made it to Championship Sunday. Good luck, trainers! Give it your all!
